DAVID

My Spectrum on the Spectrum: From Uncertainty to Purpose

The perfect talk for inspiring an audience!

Using autism education as a springboard to speak of life with differences, David reveals his journey in overcoming adversity (including being bullied) and emerging victorious: accepting and loving himself for who he is and finding fulfillment. He strives to enlighten others about the realities and potentials of those with autism and differences, changing stereotypes and perspectives. David shares life lessons he learned that are applicable to everyone.

SANDY

PARENTING: “Special” Perspectives  (Part 1)

This talk shares a mother’s insights and practical tips for navigating the early years through high school. Topics include achieving academic success, transitioning children to each life phase, and other important mindsets and issues. She incorporates valuable nuggets from David as well. Though coming from a lens of autism, Sandy’s perceptions are applicable to those with any learning difference.

PARENTING: “Special” Perspectives  (Part 2)

This talk continues the discussion with Sandy’s insights and advice on preparing and supporting special needs students for college success and/or workplace acclimation. Her professional experience as a tutor in a college special needs learning center augments her personal lived experiences with neurodiverse learners. Sandy again includes examples and insights from David himself to add a second dimension and “tried and true” tips.
